Product description
Most insect repellents have a noticeable scent, so we were immediately intrigued by this formula. The CDC recommends DEET and Picaridin as frontline protection against mosquitoes and ticks — and here in the Catskills, we deal with plenty of both, plus gnats, stable flies, deer flies, and black flies.
This spray uses Picaridin, a synthetic compound modeled after a natural ingredient found in black pepper. It’s highly effective across all the biting insects common in our region, and unlike many repellents, it has virtually no scent once it dries. That makes it ideal for hunters, hikers, anglers, and anyone who wants strong protection without a lingering smell.
