It is light, faintly golden and slightly stiff, so it holds the butterfly sleeves up on its own. The lace across the bodice softens that structure and carries the beadwork.
The colour sits between beige and champagne. Ninangs and mothers of the bride ask for it because it reads as dressed-up without competing with the bride's white.
