Matchbook Distilling Eldest Daughter is a 750ml, 19% ABV dry vermouth from Matchbook Distilling Co. in Greenport on the North Fork of Long Island, New York. It is made with biodynamic Pinot Gris grapes from Keeler Vineyards in Oregon, with half the wine distilled in-house into eau-de-vie to strengthen the base. The botanicals feature Timur pepper, a citrusy Himalayan relative of the Sichuan peppercorn, and local elderflower from Briermere Farms on the North Fork. Crisp and dry, it makes a distinctive martini, while the elderflower's floral sweetness makes it ideal for a refreshing spritz.
