Product description
OVERVIEW
The FG830 AB features a warm and powerful tone thanks to its rosewood back and sides, while the satin-finished slim neck with rounded fret edges ensures smooth playability. It also boasts the comfortable dreadnought body style and solid spruce top of its predecessor, the FG730, but with the added benefit of scalloped bracing for increased low end and improved projection in live and recording settings.
The FG830 offers a direct upgrade from the Yamaha FG730.
The Yamaha FG730 has long been renowned for its skilled construction and use of tonewoods, all at an accessible price point. With the FG830 AB, Yamaha has taken this well-crafted design to new heights by implementing scalloped bracing for a livelier stage presence and a more slender, comfortable tapered neck with rounded fingerboard edges.
Acoustic players have always favored the Yamaha FG series for its exceptional value, and the FG830 AB is no exception. Its solid spruce top, normally reserved for higher-end instruments, offers a well-balanced dynamic range and an ideal stiffness-to-weight ratio for powerful chords, single-note playing, and riffing without any muddiness. And with rosewood back and sides contributing to its robust low-end, the FG830 AB is sure to cut through any acoustic mix with clarity and precision.
Discover the reasons behind the global success of Yamaha's FG series. As trailblazers, they paved the way for affordable yet high-quality instruments, featuring full-sized dreadnought bodies, professional-grade tonewoods, and fast-playing necks. Beginners and experts alike will appreciate the comfortable neck and body, low string action, and full sound. Experienced musicians seeking a reliable backup will delight in the detailed tone, acoustic power, and effortless playability of this guitar.
