Hakata 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Japanese Whisky comes from Fukuoka Prefecture on Kyushu, the southern island whose distilling culture is built on koji. Hakata is made from koji-fermented barley, distilled and matured for twelve years in Spanish oak sherry casks, and bottled at 42% ABV.The nose is sweet and fruity with dried fruit, caramel and vanilla, plus the nutty almond and hazelnut complexity of sherry wood. The palate is smooth and full-bodied with a velvety texture: dried fruit and caramel lead, with subtle spice, oak and vanilla adding depth and raisin and fig running throughout. The finish is long and warming with a gentle spiciness. It is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks and pairs beautifully with chocolate or fruit desserts. This 750ml bottle is a well-priced, age-stated sherried Japanese whisky. Buy Hakata 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Japanese Whisky online with fast shipping right to your door.
