"The fifth single off their iconic debut album, Three Feet High and Rising, is arguably De La Soul’s most famous song. 'Me Myself and I' hit #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop, Hot Rap Songs, and Dance Club Songs charts and became a worldwide hit. It also earned the band their first Grammy nomination (for Best Rap Performance). With disco-funk infused samples and lyrics extolling the band’s philosophy of self-expression and self-acceptance, this song forever changed the genre of Hip-Hop." - Chrysalis
