Durable｜Four Roses Single Barrel Recipe OESK Bourbon Whiskey｜ Other Products

OESK is the recipe Bourbon Guy ranked first in the 2025 Four Roses Single Barrel Collection — the lower-rye E mashbill with the K yeast's baking spice, at 100 proof, seven to nine years old. Four Roses is the only distillery running two mashbills and five yeast strains into ten distinct bourbon recipes; the standard Single Barrel is always OBSV, and in 2025 the distillery put three of the other nine into wide release at 100 proof: OBSF, OESK, and OESO. OESK is the E mashbill — 75% corn, 20% rye, 5% malted barley — fermented with the K yeast, which brings light spice and full body. Bourbon Guy: almond and cherry on the nose with bubblegum and yeasty bread, then almond, cherry, caramel, vanilla, and baking spice on a well-integrated palate — the best of the four. The Whiskey Jar found the same cherry-and-almond core. Expect the roundest, most crowd-pleasing of the three collection recipes — OESK is also a component of both Small Batch and Small Batch Select, so this is the recipe in isolation. Honest note: the one to buy if you're buying one — and the pour that explains why Four Roses' private-barrel program is the most collected in Kentucky. Neat, in a Glencairn.
