Lobos 1707 Reposado rests six months in American oak, gets a measure of the brand's Extra Añejo blended in, then finishes in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks through a solera — LeBron James' tequila, with a Spanish sherry master's fingerprints on it. Diego Osorio, a filmmaker descended from a 1707 Spanish ancestor of the same name, launched Lobos in 2020 with CEO Dia Simms and early backing from James, Maverick Carter, Anthony Davis, and Draymond Green; it's made at Compañía Tequilera de Arandas, NOM 1460, in the Los Altos highlands, and the brand states zero color or flavor additives. The Reposado is 100% highland blue Weber agave, double-distilled in copper, rested six months in American white oak, blended with a portion of the Extra Añejo, finished in PX wine barrels from Spain by the solera method, and bottled at 40% ABV in the tall tapered bottle with the Osorio coat of arms. Best Tasting Spirits: vanilla, red wine, oak, and agave on the nose, with cocoa emerging. Thirty-One Whiskey, who loved the Joven, calls the bottle an imposing linebacker of a thing and the liquid a beautiful golden wheat. Expect cooked agave, vanilla, and caramel with the PX's raisin, fig, and cocoa, a rounder, sweeter body than most reposados, and a long, sherried finish. Honest note: the sweetest reposado on the shelf by design, and the rare celebrity tequila with a real idea — the sherry drinker's reposado. Neat, on a big cube, or a reposado Old Fashioned. The wolves, rested.Buy Lobos 1707 Reposado Tequila online with fast shipping right to your door.
