Highly Rated｜Shep Pettibone: Mastermixes (Salsoul) Vinyl 2LP｜ Other Products

Classic material from one of the best to do it. Looking back at Shep Pettibone's career you'll see he has quite the portfolio. He's had a hand in the music of artists like Madge (in addition to numerous remixes for her, he produced "Vogue"), Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Depeche Mode, Level 42, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Erasure, and many more. Before all that, though, he produced remixes for the foundational disco label, Salsoul. Mastermixes is the first time that they all have been collected in one place. And pretty much everything here is essential: Loleatta Holloway's "Love Sensation," Leroy Burgess' "Heartbreaker" and First Choice's "Let No Man Put Asunder," I mean. You also get classics from Candido, Instant Funk and the Salsoul Orchestra. Whether you're just diving in to the world of disco or you're an old head, this release is sure to please. Eight tracks in all. Released by Salsoul Records on double vinyl.
