Balcones Texas Rye Bottled in Bond｜ Other Products

Balcones Texas Rye Bottled in Bond is the Waco, Texas distillery's rye at its most serious: distilled in its big Forsyth copper pot stills from a mashbill of 91% Texas-grown Elbon rye with 5% Cara rye, 2% chocolate rye and 2% roasted rye from Germany's Weyermann maltings, aged four years in a bonded warehouse from a single season, and bottled non-chill filtered at the bonded standard of 50% ABV (100 proof).Mostly Bourbon rated it Very Good, describing a grain-forward nose of fresh-baked rye bread, dark-roasted coffee and dark chocolate, a palate of rye bread, toffee, espresso and herbs with cinnamon and stone fruit, and a complex finish of chocolate, root beer and banana bread, and called it a bold, unique pick for adventurous rye drinkers. Sip it neat or pour it into an Old Fashioned with a piece of orange peel.Buy Balcones Texas Rye Bottled in Bond online with fast shipping right to your door.
