Walker, who revived BenRiach and GlenDronach before buying GlenAllachie, built near Aberlour in 1967, in 2017, has made wood innovation the distillery's signature.Aged seven years and finished in virgin Hungarian oak casks, then bottled at 96 proof, non-chill-filtered and naturally colored, in a 700mL bottle, it offers rich dark honey, toffee, dried apricot and baking spice on the nose, then a velvety palate of honeyed orchard fruit and vanilla that builds into cinnamon, nutmeg and dark chocolate, finishing warm and lingering.
